Phelan Farm

Phelan Farm, offering a poetic and rigorous vision of wine. Located in Cambria near the Pacific, this historic family farm was planted by Greg Phelan in 2007. A chance encounter with Rajat Parr a decade later led to a new chapter, centered on a deeply natural farming model rooted in permaculture, biodynamics, and regenerative practices. Every decision here supports life and balance: no tilling, no sulfur or copper sprays, homemade compost from grape skins and animal manure, plant-based vineyard treatments, and a strong focus on microbial health. Grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with native yeast, mostly whole cluster, and aged in neutral oak. Bottling is done by gravity, without sulfur additions, filtration, or fining. The wines are pure, energetic, and uncompromising—true reflections of their wild coastal origin.
