Based in Auvergne since 2013, Vincent Marie organically farms around 5 hectares of vines on the volcanic foothills near Volvic and Riom, in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. His vineyard is a vibrant patchwork of grape varieties: Gamay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Sylvaner, and Pinot Auxerrois. These grow on an impressive diversity of soils, shaped by both ancient and recent volcanic activity, lending the wines remarkable minerality, tension, and depth. In the cellar, Vincent sticks to a strict no-additive philosophy. Fermentations occur naturally, without added yeast, and the wines are bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfur. His goal is to craft wines that are vibrant, generous, and deeply drinkable—wines that speak freely and honestly of their place. The cuvées often carry a rock’n’roll edge in both style and label design, but always remain sincere and expressive in the glass.
