Nestled in Anse, in the heart of the golden stones region, Domaine Saint Cyr has embodied the blend of winemaking tradition and ecological boldness since 1948. Now led by Raphaël Saint Cyr, the estate cultivates 23 hectares of vines using organic farming (certified since 2008) and biodynamics since 2021, spread across the Beaujolais, Beaujolais-Villages, Morgon, Chénas, and Moulin-à-Vent appellations. The clay-limestone soils and south/southeast exposure provide ideal conditions for the Gamay grapes to fully express their unique character. The wines, fermented with native yeasts and minimal sulfites, stand out for their honesty and balance: Morgon, with its structured, spicy profile; Chénas, floral and silky; and Moulin-à-Vent, powerful and refined—each faithfully reflecting its terroir. The estate also embraces innovative practices, such as horse-drawn plowing and cold carbonic fermentation, to craft natural, vibrant, and precise wines. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience Beaujolais at its most authentic.
