La Bedaudière - Alexandre Guillaume

Alexandre Guillaume, trained in anthropology at the EHESS, turned to winemaking after earning a degree in Viticulture and Enology. He learned the craft from renowned winemakers, particularly at Ferme de la Sansonnière, as well as with Antoine Foucault and Thomas Batardière. His first vintage, La Bedaudière, was released in 2022 from a plot of Chenin and Grolleau Noir. Since 2024, he has been cultivating 1.5 hectares in La Bournée, between Anjou and Saumurois, on diverse soils (puddingstone, sandstone, sand, and flinty clay). Wines are crafted in a troglodyte cellar, with natural fermentation and extended aging (2 years in barrels, 18 months in bottles). Precise and balanced, his wines authentically express their terroir. Three cuvées are now available for Anjou wine enthusiasts.
