Champagne Julien Hénin

Julien Hénin created his own label alongside the family estate. Based in Cerseuil, in the Marne Valley, he farms just over one and a half hectares, fully converted to organic agriculture since 2020. It is a demanding approach he carries out on his own, driven by a clear ambition: to craft precise, sincere champagnes rooted in their terroir. His first cuvée, “Jolie Promenade”, a 100% Chardonnay (Blanc de Blancs), was released in autumn 2024. Sourced from the clay-rich soils of Cerseuil, it is vinified in tanks and barrels, and bottled as a brut nature. The name pays tribute to the walks of his childhood along the Marne River, a nod to his earliest memories connected to the vineyard. Julien’s work reflects an artisanal and deliberately small-scale production, where the finesse of Chardonnay meets a committed, patient and deeply respectful approach to living soils.
